Hey Everyone! I’m thrilled to announce the official launch of my #FFC campaign – Flowing for Change! 🚀💙
Over the past two years, I’ve been on a journey, breaking taboos, starting conversations, and advocating for menstrual equity. Through your incredible support and meaningful partnerships, we’ve achieved something truly special – together, we’ve donated over 23,000 menstrual products to shelters in Thunder Bay, including Shelter House, Beendigen, The Women’s Center, Faye Peterson, and the Lakehead University Food Resource Center, systemically altering the way that thousands of people have accessed menstrual care.
Today, I’m taking a giant leap forward with the launch of Flowing for Change. It’s not just a campaign; it’s a movement. A movement that started with my goal of providing access to menstrual products for all and has grown into a platform for empowering conversations and dismantling the stigma around menstruation.
Flowing for Change is a 9-week period advocacy campaign that seeks to dismantle taboos surrounding menstruation and foster an open, inclusive conversation within the community. Flowing for Change addresses the multifaceted aspects of menstruation, striving to break down stigmas, explore period poverty, understand the intricate phases of the menstrual cycle, examine the evolution of period products, delve into indigenous perspectives and the colonial impact, and explore menstruators and non menstruators interactions with periods. The campaign culminates with actionable steps for inclusive conversations, aiming to reshape the narrative and pave the way for a more informed, supportive future.
