Celebrate Community Week

A collaborative initiative of several international volunteer service organizations, will occur in countries around the globe the week of September 11 to 17, with a focus on local community service.

The effort encourages neighbouring service clubs to reach out to one another to work together on projects that improve and benefit their communities.

In Thunder Bay and Nipigon, a coalition of clubs comprising Rotary, Rotaract, Lions, Elks, Kiwanis and Kinsmen have come together in partnership with the RFDA, United Way and Empower the North, to undertake a joint project that focusses awareness and support on food insecurity and hunger.
