Website Crohn’s and Colitis Canada

We aspire to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

The Thunder Bay Chapter of Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is growing and needs local champions to volunteer to make a difference in the lives of children and adults with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada relies on volunteers to deliver and support a number of important patient programs, including Gutsy Walk, Gutsy Peer Support mentoring program, GoHere Washroom Access Program, and Camp Got2Go. You can be part of a team that brings them to life, enriching your local community and the lives of others.

“With so many ways to get involved, we promise you’ll have fun, meet awesome people, and see the impact you’re making,” said Nicole Sage, the Development and Community Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ontario.

Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to view current postings and apply through our website: Volunteer with Us.

About Us

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is the only national, volunteer-based charity focused on finding the cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the lives of children and adults affected by these diseases.

In Canada, every 48 minutes, a person is diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) which describes a group of conditions, the two main forms are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Our volunteers are leaders using their gift of time and talent to educate others, advocate, and help raise money so Crohn’s and Colitis Canada can continue to fund critical research, patient programs, advocacy, and awareness initiatives.  Since 1974, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada has invested $145 million into world-leading Canadian research. Our Thunder Bay Chapter needs new volunteers to join our team, and we need your help!
