The Dew Drop Inn has been feeding the hungry in Thunder Bay for 42 years now. We offer a safe, welcoming environment where men, women and children can eat with no judgment and no questions asked. We are firm believers that everyone deserves a good meal and everyone needs to be treated with respect and dignity. The Dew Drop Inn recognizes that we are a band aid charity and we will not eradicate poverty. We also recognize that it is unacceptable for men women and children to go hungry while we patiently wait for solutions to be put in place.
In 2021 the Dew Drop Inn had a record breaking year primarily due to the chaos the pandemic caused with interruptions in income and employment. In 2022 The Dew Drop Inn also had another record breaking year and the high cost of living is directly responsible for this increase. This clearly indicates our community is still in a crisis situation.
We could not do what we do without the support of the community and we are incredibly grateful for this opportunity to serve a good meal daily.
