Recovery Day 2022

Recovery Day 2022

Recovery month is over but the stories live on…

This past September, communities across Canada celebrated the hope and reality of recovery from addiction and shined a light on the many pathways to increased wellness. Thunder Bay and Fort William First Nation’s local event, Rockin’ Recovery, was held at Marina Park on September 7th, 2022 and was organized by a coalition of community organizations led by the Drug Awareness Committee (DAC) of the Thunder Bay Drug Strategy. This annual event was hosted by Benjamin Murray, with inspiring speakers and musical entertainment by Kross Kid, Earthling Art Collective with Planbstrik9, and V3nom.

We personally would like to invite you to watch an edited recording of Rockin’ Recovery Show that recovery is possible by sharing this story, hosting a watch party of the event, or sharing our post on social media!

Next year is our 10th annual event! If you are interested in participating, sponsoring, have suggestions or want to say hi, please reach out to DAC on one of our social media accounts @dactbay.

Please share widely. More info available here: www.TBDHU.com/recoveryday
