Final Drives Canada (FDC)

“NEW BUSINESS EXCELLENCE” AWARD

Created by the ITEC parts department manager, who gained exclusive rights to sell quality products from the UK within Canada, Final Drives Canada (FDC) developed its own entity to better meet the needs of their customers.

With the expansion of a dealer network of eight companies across Canada, they have seen a 25% growth rate year over year, with a goal to purchase a larger facility in Thunder Bay. To combat geographical obstacles limiting parts accessibility, they are strategically based out of Thunder Bay for logistical convenience, and they invest in inventory to ensure parts are available to the end-user when needed, so projects are not impacted.

Most pivotal to their success is research and development; their database currently supplies solutions for more than 260 manufacturers and 17,000 machine models. They believe knowledge is key to success and ensure dealers have a high level of technical support, including product knowledge, installation instructions, longer-than-industry-standard warranties, and availability of replacement parts years after the sale.

FDC has built a company culture that genuinely respects each individual in the workplace, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, beliefs, abilities, or age. This respect is translated onto their customers and the communities they serve. Increasing the percentage of female workers, welcoming new Canadians, and educating employees about the history of our nation and Indigenous peoples are a few examples.

Final Drives Canada, we welcome your new business to Thunder Bay and applaud your drive!
