Jones Insurance

“MEDIUM BUSINESS EXCELLENCE” AWARD

Entering the third year of our ambitious four-year strategic plan in 2023, our business has significantly diversified and expanded, contributing to economic and financial growth. Making critical investments for sales growth, enhancing professional development, and assessing profitability through a variety of initiatives has brought us much success. These efforts culminated in a 15% increase in overall revenue. Additionally, with adequate control on expenses and efficiencies in our cash flow, we grew by 30.4% compared to last fiscal year.

Our company, recognized as one of Canada’s Best Places to Work in 2023 by Canadian HR Reporter with an 89% staff satisfaction rate, has been proactive in creating job opportunities while promoting a diverse and inclusive environment. We’ve implemented The 4 Seasons of Reconciliation Training, expanded the team to operate with 75% female leadership, and welcomed 25% newcomers to Canada.

Staff appreciation is fundamental to our culture, highlighted by events, a comprehensive benefits package, increased paid sick and personal days, and work-from-home options, supporting our staff’s well-being and work-life balance. We have always believed in empowering our employees to make a positive impact in our community and acknowledge our responsibility to give back monetarily. This past year, we donated over $42,000 to local charitable groups, endeavors, and events, such as the inaugural Take in Strides run for suicide awareness organized by the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Polar Plunge, the Salvation Army, RFDA, Community Clothing Assistance Program, and Thunder Pride Festival, among others. Individually, our staff also serve on boards for local church groups, non-profit organizations, sporting clubs, and our local Insurance associate affiliate, as well as a new initiative with Goods & Co to provide workspace for local professionals.

Dedication to quality performance is central to our mission, and we operate by the motto “What you can measure, you can improve.” Congratulations to Jones Insurance as the winner of Medium Business Excellence.
