Nathan Lawrence

“HONOURARY MEMBERSHIP” AWARD

Nathan’s unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on the Chamber Network and the business community.

His journey of Chamber service began in 2010 when he was elected to the Thunder Bay Chamber Board of Directors. In 2013, his involvement expanded to focus on the regional business community as a Board Director for the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce, where he served for four years including three years as NOACC President. In 2017, Nathan returned to the Thunder Bay Chamber Board, serving for three years, including as Chair of the Board in 2019, helping to shape the Chamber’s vision, advocating for local businesses, and championing economic growth.

Nathan’s influence extended across the province when he was elected to the Board of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce in 2015. He served on the OCC Board for eight years and was actively engaged in multiple committees including the Executive Committee, and as co-chair of both the Membership Committee and the Policy Committee. Nathan served as the Ontario Chamber’s Chair of the Board in 2022 and was awarded the OCC’s Richard Dolphin Community Service Award in 2023 for dedicated community service and consistently going beyond the call of duty to represent the interests of the Chamber of Commerce.

Let us not forget his dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders. As a founding Board Director for the SHIFT Young Professionals Network from 2009 to 2015, including three years as President, Nathan exemplified mentorship, empowerment, and vision.

He also co-founded the Young Professionals Network of Ontario with our presenter Michael Nitz, serving as its Founding Co-Chair from 2014 to 2016. Nathan’s commitment to fostering connections and propelling young professionals forward remains unmatched.

We celebrate the extraordinary contributions of our Honourary Membership recipient, Nathan Lawrence.
