RibFest


Come and eat some delicious food, and stay to enjoy shopping with our vendors, playing in the children’s area, and enjoy the amazing live bands in the beer gardens!  More information to come.

RibFest is a local charity fundraiser event in support of Our Kids Count, and our volunteers work hard to make this event a success every year! If you are interested in volunteering at Ribfest this year please email sonia@ourkidscount.ca.

Festa Italiana


It’s that time again! We are pleased to announce the return of our Festa Italiana!

On Sunday August 6 and Monday August 7 (12pm-11pm both days), come down to the Italian Cultural Centre to celebrate our culture for the 33rd Annual Festa Italiana! Come for the food, stay for the entertainment. Bring the whole family, as we will also be hosting children’s activities.

We cannot wait to bring this event back on an even grander scale than the previous year. As always, we look forward to seeing you there!

Celebrate Fort William Historical Park’s 50th Anniversary in 2023!

Great Rendezvous Celebration • July 8-16, 2023

Enjoy a variety of exciting programs and activities that celebrate the people who helped build Fort William Historical Park and its fur trade history, culminating in a weekend re-enactment.

  • July 8-9: Celtic Days – Celebrate Fort William’s Scottish history and the broader Celtic culture.
  • July 10: Northern Nature – Explore Pointe de Meuron, fur trade natural history and up into the cosmos!
  • July 11: Farm & Food – Discover heritage farming and foodways and their ongoing significance.
  • July 12: Art & Music – A celebration of historic Fort William’s art scene alongside Thunder Bay’s contemporary art scene.
  • July 13-16: Great Rendezvous Historic Re-enactment – Rendezvous is a re-creation of the annual summer gathering held at Fort William over 200 years ago when it was the inland headquarters of the North West Company, which, at the time was the world’s largest fur trading enterprise with posts stretching across North America. During Rendezvous, French-Canadian voyageurs, Scottish businessmen, Indigenous Peoples, and other from various places around the world would gather at Fort William to discuss business, share news and renew friendships.

The historic re-enactment will include daily workshops, contests, arrival, and more! Stay tuned for our daily event schedule. Historic re-enactor camping will be available July 13-17, 2023. Registration package now available! The deadline to register is June 23, 2023. Registration is free this year.

BrewHa! Festival


BrewHa! Festival, hosted by the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, showcases a variety of local and regional culinary offerings including a wide selection of craft beer, cooler & cider tastings, delicious food options, artisan flavours & live music.

BrewHa! takes place at the Festival Area of the award-winning Prince Arthur’s Landing on the Waterfront in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

This is a 19+ event.

2 Spirit Mini Pow Wow


The Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre is hosting their annual 2 Spirit Mini Pow Wow. Happening June 29th 2023 from 12:00pm-5:00pm at Current River Park. Give-a-ways in lieu of honorariums. Everyone is welcome!

Border Cats Baseball Pride Night


Rainbow Collective are teaming up with the Thunder Bay Bordercats to host Pride Night at Port Arthur Stadium on June 8th!

Come cheer on the Cats as the face off against Duluth.

Everyone is welcome and we will have some fun planned for all!
